Learning Signal Flag Messages- Decoding with Sets- Part 1

Recently the Wall Street Journal had a slide show showing various meanings when you pair sets together of signal flags. Since each flag represents a letter of the alphabet we use the signal flag to spell out messages based on the letter.

In the Navy and the Coast Guard when they hang the flags together you get various message. Next week I will do the remaining pictures that they showed. Didn’t want to make this post too long.

Below each picture is what the 2 flags mean.
