Cranberry Walnut Relish

I wanted to share this recipe along with a couple of pictures. The taste is great and the aroma while the cranberries are baking is wonderful. Certainly gets you in the holiday season. It would make a great side dish with a roasted chicken or turkey.

Cranberry Walnut Relish
from and my adaptions

1 lb fresh cranberries
2 c sugar
1 c chopped English walnuts
1 c orange marmalade
Juice of 1 lemon (about 3 Tbs)
I also added one 11 oz can of mandarin oranges, chopped

Wash and drain cranberries. Mix with sugar. Place in a shallow baking pan(I used a pyrex 9 x 13). Cover with foil. Cook at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Toast walnuts for 12 min. Add marmalade and juice to cranberry mixture. Add chopped oranges. Stir in nuts. Place in container. Chill before serving.

Once I removed the cranberries and sugar from the oven I added the other ingredients.


The picture of it is in the bowl gives you an idea of how much this batch makes.
