Christmas Boat Parade of Lights & Signal Flag Banner

Since our Navy signal flags have been used quite a bit for boat decorations I decided to check out what some of the boats and yachts do for the holidays. Although here in the Midwest there is usually plenty of snow and cold I checked out some of the Southern states. There are quite a few places that have a boat parade of lights. In Panama City, FL they go all out. Here’s a picture of one of the boats. For more info check out their website: Boat Parade of Lights

Here’s an incredible Christmas light display on YouTube! The TIKI Tender for the holiday boat parade in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

This is what the TIKI Tender would look like in our signal flag banners.

Lastly the Newport Beach Parade is celebrating their 100th annual boat parade from 12/17 through 12/21. For more details check out their website.

Here’s an example of one of the boats.

  1. We also have a parade of boats in Punta Gorda, FL; I missed it this year because I was in Atlanta with the grands. They are usually very festive. I always try to catch it from the marina since I do not own a boat, LOL!

  2. That’s great Marcia. I have looked at a few online but since I am in the Mid-west and not near a ocean never saw one in person. Bet you still get a great view from the marina. I know one thing you have is gorgeous sunsets. A woman on Facebook moved down to Punta Gorda and loves taking sunrise and sunset pictures. Thanks for commenting!
