Nautical Wedding and Receptions- 2013
I have done various posts over the last 6 years on nautical weddings and receptions. Nautical is a popular theme for weddings. We have sold many banners over the years for couples that want to decorate with a nautical theme. If you are having a beach or outdoor wedding you could hang a signal flag banner that spell out both your first names or the last name. Also if you are getting married on a boat or yacht our signal flags could hang for decoration. The banner below is hung on a gazebo and spells ERIN AND VIN.

Although Hearts are not traditionally part of the signal flag family they do add a nice touch. If you have lots or room to hang it could be 1 long banner or as shown below made into 3 banners as shown below.

Nautical Home Decor ~ Signal Flag Valances ~ Window Treatments
I love the idea that you can transform a room from ordinary to nautical with a curtain rod and signal flags. When we make the signal flags we make a wider casing so as to slide onto a standard 3/4″ (or less) curtain rod. With a 1/2″ space between each flag, you can typically hang 5 flags on a 44″ rod, or 9 flags on a 76″ rod. If you use a round, dowel- or tube-type rod, it must be 1/2″ or less in diameter. These types of rods also come in varying lengths. We can customize your casings, if you really need something with a wider rod sleeve, but the existing dimensions have a nice, proportionate look. Casings could go as wide as 2″ or more, if needed, just let us know.

The next picture shows how you could put the signal flag in the middle of a bay window. You could then hang nautical theme curtains on each side of it.
Lastly if you have a long window that has a center support for the curtain rod this close-up of our flags show how you can arrange it.
The center support is between the N and the T.

Signal Flag Video of our Flags
I was looking on You Tube at a few of the signal flag videos they have on there. I discovered a video that I made a couple of years ago. It show close-up of some of our signal flags and thought I would share it today.
Currently we are really busy and our shipping time is 2-3 weeks due to the fact that we make each flag individually for each order. They are hand-crafted by us and the name of our company IB Designs, USA. The positive is that since they are made in the USA they are durable and should last for a long time. We use Kona Cotton which is high-quality material.
You can machine wash our flags with cold water and tumble dry low. Since some of our flags use a little bit of steam-a-seam it is recommended not to use a dryer sheet in the dryer. Anything you can spell we can make! Signal flag Banners- Horizontal, Vertical and Valance
